G - Giraffe

G Monogram clip artGiraffe? Okay, here goes. I think this word came to mind due to several videos I've watched recently. One was a giraffe playing with a goat or lamb. The other...well, I've forgotten. So I'm off to search up a something about giraffes to share with you today.

Giraffe, jeesh! What was I thinking?

  • Male giraffes will often neck wrestle to establish dominance in their herds
  • Giraffes are one of the few animals born with horns.
  • The gestational period of a giraffe is 14 to 14.5 months
  • You would have to run in order to keep up with a giraffe walking because every step a giraffe takes is 15 feet long

  4. A giraffe would leave me behind in half a step. The horns point is going to be stuck in my head forever. Can hardly wait to bring it up as a nonsequitur in a conversation lull with a stranger. Thank you very much.

  6. You've reminded me I've got a sketch somewhere that needs finishing of a giraffe house in a Zoo that my Dad built. Thanks for the reminder. Love giraffes, never known any personally.
