We started our adventure together in 2008 and have traveled the country several times over. Then we moved to Ecuador for a couple of years. Coming back a year ago, we realized we were pretty much running the same route each year. North to south and back again, all in eastern US.
In September, friends of ours moved from Maryland to eastern Tennessee. That got us looking at prices of houses with acreage. We already bought 5 acres in middle TN where we had planned to eventually build. But the housing market was too good - so we made an offer and on January 10th, we closed.
So why am I telling you this? Because the house has one thing I've needed desperately. Many of you know I do most of my writing at McDonald's and similar spots. Although I have a small computer area in the RV, it's really not conducive to writing. But the new house has an office. A real office with a door I can close!
Here it is just after we moved in the used desk and new chair we bought.
And here it is set up.
So why is this important? Because I am writing again! Finally....I know my readers have been more than patient, waiting for book three in my Klondike Mystery series, Almost a Touch. Well, I'm back to working on it. Hoping to have it live before summer! Thank you all for sticking with me.
