All done with the April A to Z Challenge

I made it, completed the 2015 April A to Z Challenge. I really enjoyed it this year, spur of the moment sign-up and just went with the flow in what I posted. From A - Almost to Z - zzzzzzzz, it's done.

I think this may be a turning point in my blog. I've struggled with what to post here. My first year I posted every day, had great readership but my audience was primarily other writers.

I decided to move to a WordPress blog, tried that for several months and moved back to Blogger. Now I wish I had done double posts because I lost a lot of readers during the two changes.

Since then I have not posted regularly and have tried to post more personal things. I do post about my books and other writing, especially when there is a sale.

So I think my postings are going to continue on an even more personal basis. Little ramblings about various things as they pop into my head. Having a BFF (or not), childhood memories, food binges...that sort of thing. I will continue my Motivation Monday posts, I enjoy doing them and you folks seem to enjoy reading them.

So, if you have a topic you'd like to see discussed (writing related or not) or have a personal question you'd like me to answer, just drop in a comment or send me a message.

  1. Changing from 1 blog platform is a major pain. That's why I'm still on WordPress. Congrats on completing the challenge. enjoy the weekend.

  4. I agree and I found it way too cumbersome and time consuming, trying to keep up with all the updates and add-ons. Phew!

  6. Is this your reflections post? If so, consider sharing it on the linky which is up on Monday, maybe it's already up? Congrats on finishing! Why did you switch back to blogger instead of WP? Everyone I know says WP rocks but I know there's a big learning curve.

  7. Thanks for the reminder, added!

I loved the versatility of WordPress but I was spending way too much time doing upgrades and then worrying what add-ons worked and what didn't, especially the ones to prevent hacker. Since I'm an IT person, I probably worried too much but with Blogger, all I have to do is write. ;)

  8. I know that upgrades are really important w/ WP, and sometimes I think about having a WP blog but if so, I'll start a new one from scratch rather than move over my existing blog. It's good to hear your experience w/ it! And you're an IT person!!

  9. Platform changes are not fun from what I hear. i'm sticking with Blogger. I have a great support system here, and belong to a really cool FB group that is dedicated to only Blogger platform bloggers. They have been super helpful whenever I have had questions. Congrats on completing the A to Z Challenge! Looking forward to next year! See you on the Road Trip!
