This is my first entry in the weekly Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers challenge.

The hour passed slowly and she knew she had to vacate the rented room. After all, they always paid by the hour and she had already used up two hours waiting.
She gathered her things and stuffed them in her elegant tapestry covered tote bag. She took one last look out the window but there was still no sign.
Once outside, a lady stepped in front of her, blocking her path. "He's not coming. Not this time. Not ever."
She cocked her head in question.
The knife flashed before her as the woman told her, "I killed him. No one cheats with my husband."
The contents of tote bag spilled on the cobblestone and soaked up the blood spilling from her body.
