No Kindle Fire yet? Maybe it's time. Amazon is cutting the cost of the Kindle Fire HD, knocking 12 percent off the Android tablet's price. The price of the 7-inch, 16GB tablet has been slashed to $169 in the U.S., 139 pounds in the U.K., and 169 euros elsewhere in Europe. Thank you to c|net for the news!
The Fire HD originally cost $199. The discount follows a similar price cut on the rival Nook HD tablet.
