What do I love about Cuenca? There is so much to love.
The people are reason number one. Warm, loving and so family oriented.
The weather is reason number two. Moderate all year round with lows in the 50's and highs in the 60-70's. Yes, it can get warmer and colder but it's rare. We get a little rain most days and a deluge a few days a year. This also means it's green all year with flowers, bushes and trees in full bloom.
The locale is reason number three. How can you not love living in the middle of the Andes Mountains. I mean, really!
Cuenca is also a UNESCO heritage site, we get to learn about another culture and their history and we get to (try) learn Spanish.
Me encanta Cuenca!
I could add 47 more positive reasons! Very few negatives on my list.
ReplyDeleteCuenc is so easy to love!
ReplyDeleteI pinch myself every day, trying to believe, that I had the good fortune to land in such a beautiful, tranquil place. Especially when I had never even considered being an expat. Coming here was one of the fastest decisions I have ever made and very out of character. I have to believe that the life I have, the friends I have here, the very special people I am meeting, all had to be some divine plan, and feel so very blessed. Your blogs helped to get me here. Thank you for being part of my personal utopia.
ReplyDeleteLiving in Cuenc sounds like a very cool experience.
ReplyDeleteI would kill (almost) for the kind of weather you have. Can you believe the weathermen are forecasting 96-degrees for this week in Egypt? Dang. We don't usually go that high until May or June. Have a lovely cool weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteHave you really been there that long? it seems moments ago that you were moving. Such wonderful experiences you're having. Glad you're loving it.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to believe...but we do love it!
