As an infosec and privacy pro, I am constantly amazed at what Facebook (and other web giants) try to get away with.
Chief Executive Kevin Systrom said it's "our mistake that this language is confusing" and that the company is "working on updated language. Since making these changes, we've heard loud and clear that many users are confused and upset about what the changes mean," he wrote.
Yeah, right. A lawyer wrote that; Facebook knew (and hoped) it would confuse users.
Yay! Amazing to find a company listening...though I think it was more the threat of mass deletion that sorted it!
