In other news, today is the first day of editing "Barely a Spark". Phew! Only forty chapters to go...I changed my writing meter in the sidebar to an editing meter but using chapters in place of the number of words. I added the number of starting words (first draft) and will track that count through to the final version of the book. It will be interesting to see where I end up!

Keep reading and if you have read any of my books, I'd greatly appreciate a review at Amazon/Smashwords (wherever you purchased the book) and/or Goodreads. It does help other folks make a decision on whether or not to purchase a book and as an author, I greatly appreciate it!

My illustrated children's bedtime rhyming book is coming along wonderfully. I wrote this story about fifteen years ago and set it aside. I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination but I have found a wonderful author who is, Kara Jaynes. My First Blog-versary and a Contest

It's hard to believe that a year has gone by since I started this blog. So much has happened since then. Here are a few highlights.

• I discovered flash fiction. I did a lot of that in the first six months and found it improved my writing.
• In April I participated in the April A to Z Challenge and after writing the required 26 entries, I combined them all into a book for sale on Amazon.
• I also published several other flash fiction compilations on Amazon.
• I dug out a short story, “Lost and Found”, I had written ten years earlier, updated it and published it on Amazon.
• One piece of flash fiction, "The Dance", accepted for inclusion in a printed book anthology, benefiting several women's charities. .
• I started working on my first novel, "A Montana Chance", a contemporary romance set in Montana.
• In August I participated in Camp NaNoWriMo and got 80% through the first draft of a cozy mystery set in north-central Pennsylvania, “Not a Whisper”.
• In September and October I finished the first draft of “Not a Whisper”.
• In November I participated in my first NaNoWriMo and finished the first draft of a new romance, “Home Again”, which used my short story “Lost and Found”” as the prequel.
• In December I published my first ever full-length novel, “Home Again”, on both Amazon and Smashwords.

Yup, it’s been quite a year! To celebrate I’m hosting my own Scavenger Hunt. Here are the rules and specifics.

What's next?

Let's see. I have three novels in the works - one is in editing, one is waiting to be edited and one is still being written. I managed to move my blog from Blogger to Word Press on my own domain. I've been able to get out almost weekly for a nice motorcycle ride as well as a good movie or two. That pretty much wraps up November.

December will be busy with edits, a blog hop contest in mid-month, visiting Pigeon Forge and Dollywood for a couple of days before moving our RV location to Florida for the winter where we will get some repairs done before heading to our campground and trying to keep up with five or six blogs. Oh yeah, and there's a holiday near the end of the month. Yup, I'll be busy..

I won't be posting daily but I do hope to get some flash fiction written. I have really missed that and I know that was one thing my readers wanted me to continue (during my last poll).
