One week into May...

Where did the time go? I finished the April A-Z Challenge, wrote and scheduled my Reflections post, joined the Insecure Writers Support Group and made my first post, did a couple more miscellaneous posts and one five sentence fiction titled "Candy".

I caught up on all the back blogs that I'd neglected during April, did all the normal housekeeping stuff at home, went with hubby to his three times weekly PT sessions - no wonder I haven't written much in my WIP yet.

This week I WILL get back into my romance WIP. My goal is to have the first draft done by the end of June. I'll let is sit for a couple of weeks while I outline my mystery WIP. then I'll start editing the romance novel. I hope to finish that in July.

August...well, August may be interesting. I have signed up for summer camp. Yup, Camp NaNoWriMo here I come. I plan to use my mystery WIP for this. I have no idea if I can manage it, but hey, you never know until you try!

What will I do with this blog? I won't be posting daily as I have been but I will post weekly at a minimum but more likely 2-3 times a week. With that, I'll sign off and see you in a day or two!

  1. Hi Donna - You’ve been one busy lady! :)

I think it’s a good idea to take a break between manuscript edits. A fresh pair of eyes is a good thing.

Best of luck on both the romance and the mystery WIPs!

  2. I learned the hard way about putting something aside. I found errors in probably a third of my A-Z posts, after I published them. LOL! Getting hubby to read them again before I publish it as a compilation.

  3. Before you know it we'll be in winter. I need to get busy! It's just too easy to procrastinate, especially with the Internet :)

  4. April was lunacy, wasn't it, and I didn't even have the personal issues you did! Well done for getting everything taken care of and maintaining your sanity. Ummm . . . you DID maintain your sanity, right? ;)

  7. Good luck with your novel and Camp NaNoWriMo. I was hoping to get some camp time in this summer, but it looks like I'll just participate in regular NaNoWriMo again this year.

  8. Wow, what an April! I've had to put off my spring cleaning. Oh, who am I kidding. I've never done spring cleaning. But the A to Z was a good excuse to let certain things slide. (Blows away dust bunny the size of a poodle.) Congrats on getting so much done!
