Sunday Snippets - Sundry Somethings

Well, in case you didn't realize it today is Sunday and it's time for another edition of my Sunday Snippets - Sundry Somethings. This won't be a long post but there are a few things I wanted to pass along as well as some future posts. So here goes!
If you've joined me in the last month you know that I participated in the 2012 A to Z Challenge and I wrote my first post for the Insecure Writer's Support Group. One major reason to do this is networking...finding new blogs to follow and new readers for your own blog.

For the same reason, this weekend I am joining a networking blog hop. No rules, just visit the blogs, leave a comment and maybe pick a few to follow. Eezy-peezy! Oh, at the very end of this blog, you can sign up and join in the fun!

The Winky Linky Weekend Hop [May 3-6]

Since I've been visiting a lot of blogs recently, I have noticed that many still have word verification turned on. The A-Z Challenge encouraged us to turn it off and it made commenting so much easier. So if you use Blogger, please read my old post, "Blogger and Word Verification [rant]" and then check to see if you have word verification turned on.
If you missed it, my post "Picture me...." post listed a group of resources for photos/images for your blog and website. It also reminded us of the copyright issues involved in "borrowing" photos/images without permission. Please feel free to pass this article on to your friends and fellow bloggers.
In future posts I will be writing about software I use that helps me in reading blogs as well as my writing and everyday chores. Scrivener, WriteItnow, Jarte, RSSOwl, IrfanView, CoreFTP are just a few.
Now for a little humor to end the day....
A linguistics professor was lecturing to his English class one day. "In English," he said, "a double negative forms a positive. In some languages, though, such as Russian, a double negative is still a negative. However, there is no language wherein a double positive can form a negative."

A voice from the back of the room piped up, "Yeah, right."
