#MAYKINGITWORK: May 18, 2018

This is my second post in the #MAKINGITWORK blog challenge set out by newly acquired friend, thanks to the April A to Z blog challenge, I.L. Wolf. My goals for #MAYkingItWork are to get back to reading (and less writing) and to restart my yoga. I will post on Fridays as to how I am doing.

YOGA:
Umm, not a good week. With hubby back home, I back slid. I slept in and when I finally got on the computer, I ended up sitting there the rest of the day. Sigh...next week WILL be better. Right?

READING:
Oh my! I have done a TON of reading, just not necessarily pleasure reading. I added several more flash fiction prompt sites to my reader list AND I joined a "women of a certain age" group and am participating in their blog hops.

I've been reading and commenting on 6-12 flash fiction posts a day. In fact, I am often doing more reading than writing. I need to pare down my list and only follow the ones I really like. Hard to do when there are "Linky Lists" involved.

Hubby is gone for a month, at least, and I have the #2Doods to take care of as well as all the other household stuff (no, not mowing, will be calling someone for that!). I have to be careful to take some ME time.

So how did you do this past week?

  1. I think you did pretty well...you're moving forward, and sometimes that takes a little bit of a sideways slant!

As for the yoga...I've learned I can't always do everything. You'll figure it out :)

Thanks for hanging out with me this month!

    1. Guess I need to break down and try the exercises my doctor gave me for the piriformis muscle. Sigh...thought I could skip that and yoga would help it.

      But we keep marching forward!

  2. Oh, how do you handle your husband gone so long? That must be very hard.

    1. Hi Amy, fortunately we are retired and there isn't much I have to deal with (other than the #2Doods). I will have someone come in and mow, plus I have good neighbors! He Facetimes me almost every night, too.

  3. Good for you! My reading has slipped, but after I got into a daily yoga habit, I can't let it go. Even if I'm in a hotel or somewhere with a dirty floor, I will do SOME yoga on the bed. I love it.

I know exactly what I need to do to get back into my reading (books or blogs, it all counts) and that is to PUT DOWN MY PHONE! Maybe another month. Found you through MAYking it work.

    1. You're my hero! (...and reading your blog now...)! I did buy some elastic resistance bands today. Need some shoulder work...too much sitting, hunched over the computer.

So far this week, reading has been blogs...LOL!
