ReplyDeleteStopping by from the A-Z challenge and following now too. This has been so much fun hasn't it? Have a great weekend and a great final challenge day :)
ReplyDeleteA twist that actually started at the beginning of her life.
ReplyDeleteLove it. I don't want these to end!
I was drawn in straight-away. I don't know how you did that but I really care about this girl. Will you be writing these ideas up into full stories or are they from your published work?
ReplyDeleteA to Z of Nostalgia
Glad you came to get hooked today... ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Martha. It has been a blast...now I get to figure out what to do with this blog. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donna. Some of these will eventually get fleshed out to at least a short story. Just need more hours in the day. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHi Rosalind, thank for visiting and commenting. Each of these were written off the cuff, using the word and photo inspiration. I may be working some into full stories but need to get back to my romance novel WIP first. Now if there were more hours in the day....lol!
ReplyDeleteHow do you manage to tell such a story in so few words? Amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou catch us immediately and draw us in each time. Is there really only one left. Glad I was able to provide the writing prompt Donna. It's been wonderful getting to know you a little during AtoZ's. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks...now I have to wonder, can I write with MORE words. LOL!
ReplyDeleteMy original thoughts for Yearning were quite different than the direction of your prompt. I really had fun writing this one...and it makes even ME want to know more. LOL!
ReplyDeleteNow we get to follow each other's blogs after the challenge. Making new writing friends has been the bonus of this challenge!!
Great ten sentences. Nice to meet you from A to Z.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Susan. It's been an interesting journey!
ReplyDeleteSo much sorrow in that little story. Good beginning for a much longer piece I think!
ReplyDeleteI,too, think this would be a wonderful prologue for a longer story - get to it, Donna!!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt had such a sense of back-story that demands to be unpacked and explored.
(Of course, for me, the icing on the cake is getting a 'knitting' reference in there! ;-p)
